Jet, Indigo, SpiceJet to challenge trade regulator’s fines

Jet, Indigo and SpiceJet have been fined Rs 258 crore by fair trade regulator for acting like a cartel and “overcharging cargo freight in the garb of fuel surcharge”. However, the airlines have decided to challenge this order and would be seeking legal ways to defend their position. The airlines say that there are not in contravention of the provisions of the Competition Act.
