The Karamveer Bhaurao Patil College’s Research Ethics Committee has received a Research Protocol entitled “Predictors of Adolescent Civic Engagement and Positive Environmental Behavior”. This committee consisted scholars from the field of political science, psychology, theology, microbiology and population sciences. The main purpose of such research is to understand how adolescents behave and how behavior can be moulded so that they grow as responsible citizens of the society. The Western countries have long back acknowledged the importance of research and have integrated it in their social fabric, which has brought positive implications for their society. Slowly developing countries are also picking up with this trend which is a good sign. Such research works empowers our educational institutes to comprehend with the human ingenuity, psychology and behavioral aspects. Dr. Solomon, who presented the project, informed us more on this. With such complex research, obstacles are very much predicted by the experts. Committee member Molsy Thomas elaborated on the conventional hurdles which may arise in due course. Though it’s late, the research is being seen as a positive attempt to understand the complexity of the Indian society. With cameraperson Kala Jadhav, Shilpa Suryawanshi for NMTV news.
