Not just students celebrated this stage of life, but parents, teachers and the visitors too traveled back into time, reliving the joys of being a child. Navi Mumbai News brings a special report from the two-day festival. DAV International School, Kharghar’s Child Fest Bachpan 2006 started on a grand note and ended on a highly successful one too. The festival was organized under the dynamic leadership of the DAV Group’s Regional Director Dr. K B Kushal and the headship of the school’s Principal Seema Maindiratta. Addressing the audience at Bachpan 2006, Dr. K B Kushal said that the 100 years of DAV institutions in the country has marched to its glory and success only with the support of the enlightened parents. He said that they are keen that students of DAV International School, Kharghar are well versed in languages and that they will provide some of the best facilities for the students here. The objective of Bachpan 2006 was to promote extensive recreational experience through variety of activities where children got experience through exposure. With the aim of making learning more fun, students participated in various activities like pottery, puppet show, farm animal, magic show, bangle making, joy rides, art, jugglery, cultural presentation, elephant and horse ride and music and dance. Another feature of Bachpan was the collaborative experience through interaction between children-parents and teachers. Navi Mumbai News caught up with the parents as they relived the joyful days of childhood with their children at this carnival. DAV International School, Kharghar’s showcased the beautiful world of children. Another highlight of the carnival was the performances by ZEE TV Shabash India’s Matka and Thali dancers and Rex Dsouza. Navi Mumbai News caught up with the performers later.
