Lions Club International celebrated the finale of their October service week with great enthusiasm. The chief guest for the occasion was International Director of Lions Club Shyam Malpani and District Governor Rajender Tanwani. Lions club International is known for its contribution in the upliftment of the downtrodden. The people who are neglected by the society are provided with a helping hand by the ‘Lions’. And to commemorate the establishment and services they provide to society, during 2nd to 8th October various programmes are organized. 8th October is in particular celebrated as the finale of this service week. International Director of Lions Shyam Malpani and District Governor Rajendra Tanwani were the chief guests for the occasion at Sanpada. All members who are actively participating were also present in large numbers. Shyam Malpani, an Indian represents the Indian ‘Lions’ on the International stage. It was a proud moment for District Governor Rajendra Tanwani for being the part of the event. He gave an insight of the work they provide to the poor. 2nd Oct being the beginning of their service week and also known as Gandhi Jayanti, some of the Lion clubs district Activity Chairman spoke about him too.
