Manda Mhatre filed her nominations as the BJP Shiv Sena RPI alliance candidate from Belapur. Along with BJP party workers and corporators of NMMC, Manda Mhatre arrived at Konkan Bhavan to file her nomination. Prominently present were BJP Navi Mumbai President Ramchandra Gharat.
Post her nomination filing ceremony, her supporters met her at her house.

“I WILL ENSURE TO CONTINUE MY PUBLIC WORKS”
Speaking to NMTV, after filing her nominations, Manda Mhatre said that this being her second consecutive run to state assembly, she will ensure she makes use of the opportunity given to her to do public work.

“UDDHAV THACKERAY HAS PLEDGED SUPPORT TO MY CANDIDATURE”
In a masterstroke move, Manda Mhatre silenced the Shiv Sena opposition in Navi Mumbai to a large extent by visiting Shiv Sena Executive President Uddhav Thackeray at Matoshree a day after her candidature was declared. Manda Mhatre said that Uddhav Thackeray had acknowledged the work she had done as a MLA and appreciated that she also worked for Shiv Sena corporators in her first tenure. He assured that Shiv Sena will support her candidature from Belapur.

“PEOPLE’S SUPPORT GIVES ME COURAGE FOR ALL CHALLENGES”
In 2014, Manda Mhatre had to actually fight the elections against two heavyweights Ganesh Naik and Vijay Nahata. However, this time round her elections seem to be much easier as a win is already being predicted. Manda Mhatre says that as long as she has people’s support, she does not fear challenges.
