A recent survey report of CIDCO has given NMMC Hospital at Vashi the top slot among the private and public hospitals surveyed by them. There was a time when medical services provided in Navi Mumbai were synonymous to unhygienic, poor and improper. However, the city medical reformed when NMMC Commissioner Vijay Nahata took upon his health vision. He inspected the entire scenario and found that the NMMC hospital had around 200 to 250 nurses which was the biggest setback as many of them were ignorant to their duties and there was also shortage of doctors. Even when NMTV News had exposed the sale of expired medicines at the hospital, the Commissioner has taken immediate action. He then started his health vision. And his efforts paid off when in a recent survey conducted by CIDCO, among 75 the public hospitals, 53 super-specialty hospitals, 1177 private hospitals and 97 pathological were surveyed NMMC Hospital got the top rank. There are many other additional medical services because of which today Navi Mumbai has scored number one in providing medical services. With cameraperson Ravi Nikam, Archana Tripathi for NMTV News.
