Members of the Navi Mumbai Jewelers Association met with Navi Mumbai Commissioner of Police Ramrao Wagh to discuss security issues. In the presence of Navi Mumbai Police Commissioner Ramrao Wagh, a meeting on the security issues faced by the jewelers of Navi Mumbai was held at Abbot hotel, Vashi. A large gathering of jewelers had come for the meeting who put forth their complaints before the Navi Mumbai police. They also honored the police officers with their traditional pagdees to pay respect to them. Addressing the members, DCP R D Shinde stated that the police force has been working vigilantly to provide security to the jewelers and that one should always look forward to invest on security. Talking on the same lines, Commissioner of Police Ramrao Wagh stressed on providing guns and licenses to shops watchman and security who guard the jewelery store. He also suggested installing security gadgets like CCTV camera, burglars alarm & other anti- thefts devices to protect their shops. Insisting on insuring their jewelry stores, the jewelers association also put forth some issues like lack of night patrolling to the police department.
