The famous Millennium tower building at Sanpada is surrounded with controversy as the residents of the buildings have formed a new members committee which has decided to re-open the long closed club house in the complex. Standing up against the illegal members committee formed at Millennium Towers which was working for the last three years, the residents of the complex have demanded the reopening of the Club House in the complex which was closed down by the committee. Members of the new committee formed – Millennium Towers Residents Welfare Association allege that CIDCO in conspiracy with individuals were trying to grab hold of the Club House through an illegal federation. This tower which has 17 buildings with 1200 flats does not have any committee or federation registered for its society. In fact despite assurances given by the builder, the residents are still devoid of many amenities but there is no federation within the society to raise up their concerns. We spoke with the President of the newly formed committee about their concerns. We also spoke with some of the residents who expressed anger towards CIDCO. It is being said that CIDCO had even given Rs 6 lakh to install electric equipments for the Club House which has not yet done by the builder. The agitated residents have now formed the committee and decided to open up the Club House themselves. With cameraperson Ravi Nikam, Sudhir Sharma for NMTV News.
