Minister for Communications and IT, Sachin Pilot launched the C-DAC Multi-lingual website at a function held at Mumbai. For the first time, the state has launched a multi lingual website which will host a total of 22 languages of India.
Appreciating the policy makers, Sachin Pilot said that while the website had English and Hindi language, the first page that welcomes the visitor is in Marathi as it has been accessed in Maharashtra. He said that while internet was a commonly used in the urban areas, it was the rural areas that needed to be connected, to those people who do not speak English or Hindi.
