The Sikh community in India has strongly opposed the injustice being done to the Sikh community and the minorities by the Talibans at Pakistan. With the onslaught of the Taliban on the Sikhs and minorities in Pakistan, more than 11000 Sikhs have escaped the Pakistani borders while many are still trying to flee the country. Trying to bring this to the attention of the Indian government, many minority communities like the Shri Guru Singh Sabha, All India Ulema Council, All India Christian Council, Muslim front staged a protest at Azad Maidan. Speaking to the media, one of the members Dr. Ibrahim Abgan stated that the security of the minorities in Pakistan was that of the Pakistan government which it had failed to do.
