MMRC seeks BMC land for Mumbai Metro Line 3


The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) is seeking approval from BMC to acquire 7,796 square metres (0.78 hectares) of permanent BMC land which would be required for construction of Mumbai Metro Line 3. For the same, the MMRC officials made a presentation to the BMC Improvements Committee which detailed on how the project will underground line between Colaba-Bandra-Seepz (Andheri) of 32 km length with 27 stations.

Ashwini Bhide, managing director of MMRC who was seen making the presentation, said land in Mumbai which would be required on permanent basis for the ambitious project construction at 17 spots like DN road in Fort, J Tata Road at Churchgate, near Hutatma chowk and opposite Siddhivinayak temple in Dadar.
