MNB INDUSTRIAL HOME FOR THE BLIND

MNB-Industrial-5The Mancherjee Naorojee Banajee Industrial Home for the blind has been providing training to poor blind children for the last 53 years. The home along with encouraging the physically challenged to stand up on their own also provides various other facilities to them. The Mancherjee Naorojee Banajee Industrial Home for the blind was established in the year 1956 working towards training poor blind children of the rural areas. Late Shirinben and Banajee handed over their land to the National Association for the Blind for the welfare of blind children. Since then it has been proving training to such children. Their training is divided into four sections: sewing, light engineering, hangar, napkin and flower pot designing. The home has also started using latest technologies to provide advanced training to the children. Apart from hostel, the home also provides meals, living quarters and medical to the students.
