MUMBAI CRIME BRANCH SOLVES JOGGERS’ PARK MURDER CASE

Police claim to have solved the mystery of the dead body found outside Joggers’ Park in Oshiwara. Rajeev Mishra reports from the Jt. Commissioner of Police Crime Rakesh Maria’s press conference that a model cum-assistant director of an upcoming Punjabi movie was arrested by the crime branch for killing the 25-year-old youth over a financial dispute. Swatantra Pal Singh has confessed to killing Vikram Singh Mukhtar stating that the murder happened accidentally. The dispute rose over Rs. 1.5 Lakhs that the victim had paid to the accused for taking him to Canada. The accused murdered the victim at his flat and dumped his body at Jogger’s Park. The crime branch has also arrested three more accused in connection with the murder of 75-year-old Neeruben Bhatt in a Juhu bungalow on Sunday morning. Her son was in London when the incident took place. Bhatt was staying with her sister when she was attacked. She was found strangulated and the house had been ransacked. Those arrested were a cook and two of his accomplices. Earlier, the Juhu police had arrested a help. The motive of the murder was theft.
