Giving a new look to its gardens across the city, MCGM is in the process of developing the dilapidated gardens, which has been welcomed by the residents. Mumbai Mayor Dr. Shubha Raul’s mission of developing the green zones of the city seems to be coming true. The civic body is in the process of developing the gardens in its wards. One such garden is the Acharya Vinoba Bhave garden in Dahisar. The garden has been redeveloped at a cost of Rs one crore providing a proper playground, jogging track and borewell for the residents. Another garden of the city to see revamp is the Anna Sawant Manoranjan garden at Malad. MCGM has also developed a theme garden at Kandivali East, which covers a total of 11 acre at a cost of Rs 6 crores.
