Looks like the second phase of the Mumbai monorail is going to miss its deadline of mid-2016. It is expected that the work would be completed only by September 2016.
According to MMRDA, the construction is underway. However, test trails can only be held by April-May. The test trials usually take five months which include testing, trails and safety certifications.
The second phase of the Mumbai monorail will include the rail line between Wadala Depot and Jacob Circle. Earlier, MMRDS had stated that the passenger operations will commence in mid-2016.
