After an embarrassing defeat of his son Nilesh Rane in Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg parliamentary constituency, Industries Minister Narayan Rane has resigned from the state cabinet. He submitted his resignation on moral grounds. Nilesh Rane faced a humiliating defeat from Shiv Sena candidate Vinayak Raut.
Soon after, Nagpur guardian minister and employment guarantee minister Nitin Raut too resigned Nagpur Congress candidate Vilas Muttemwar was submitted.
Both Narayan Rane and Nitin Raut submitted his resignation to Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan. Sources reveal that Narayan Rane is going to quit both Congress and declare retirement from politics.
The new developments mean that Narayan Rane’s dream of becoming the Chief Minister of Maharashtra will always remain a dream.
