The Navi Mumbai police handed over jewelery and valuables belonging to Navi Mumbai citizens in the various robberies busted by the police. This included handing over of jewelry, laptops, mobiles, cars and more. The proceedings were chaired by Police Commissioner K L Prasad.
The highest value of items was gold jewelry worth Rs. 61, 40, 000 belonging to CBD resident Deepa Chavan. The gold was stolen by her driver from her residence at Sea Breeze towers. She filed a complaint with the Nerul police station who busted the robbery 6 hours.
Speaking to the media, Deepa Chavan thanked the police.
She said that she is emotionally attached to the jewelry and was glad she got it back.
