Times NIE held the New Bombay Plus Quiz 2008 competition at the Bombay Bant Centre in Juinagar. The competition saw students of various schools across Navi Mumbai and Chembur participating. It was indeed an interesting and brain storming morning for the students of Navi Mumbai who had participated in the Times NIE’s new Bombay Plus Quiz 2008. The auditorium was packed with students bustling with energy and enthusiasm. More than hundreds of students across schools from Navi Mumbai and Chembur participated in the event. Some of well known schools were present during the competition like DAV Public School Kharghar, DAV Public School, Nerul, New Bombay High School, Vashi, Apeejay School Nerul Chembur Karnataka High School, Ryan International School, Nerul and others. The entire event was a learning experience for the students which kicked off with the question answer round. Six teams were selected from this round which took the dais to compete with each other. The quiz competition included rounds like Science and Environment, visual round, audio round and the famous rapid fire. Interestingly, all the three winners were from schools based out in Nerul. The school which topped the score was Apeejay School Nerul. The first runner up was MGM Secondary School Nerul who too shared their experience with us. And the second runner up was bagged by DAV Public School Nerul. We also spoke with other participants about their experience. We spoke to the Times NIE Head Mumbai about the competition.
