MAHARASHTRA GOVERNMENT ORDERS BUILDERS TO CHARGE ONLY FOR CARPET AREA In order to bring transparency in the housing industry, the state has ordered the builders to sell flats at the rate of carpet area. The builders who fail to comply will face a imprisonment of 3 years. 150 WELLS TO BE REVIVED To augment the city’s water supply for non-potable purposes, MCGM is already in the process of reviving 150 existing municipal wells from Colaba to Dahisar. Also, additional 100 bore wells will be dug up after proper geological and hydrological studies are conducted on municipal plots.
