Several candidates arrived at the Konkan Bhavan to file their nominations for MLC polls. On the 24th of June, the elections for the MLCs from the Konkan and Mumbai constituencies will be conducted. The election heat could be witnessed at Konkan Bhavan where the last day for filing nominations came to an end. The nominations were being filed from the 31st of May. Candidates with hundreds of supporters made a beeline to the office at CBD Belapur to file their nominations. The Konkan Region includes Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg. There are nearly 58 Thousand voters in the Konkan region. The candidates who filed their nominations are Sanjay Kelkar from BJP, Sharad Patil of Shivrajya Party, Independent candidate Surendra Thavle and NCP’s Nilesh Chauhan. From the Mumbai Graduate Constituency Region, where 18 thousand voters will cast their votes has Congress’ Balasaheb Mhatre, Lokbharti’s Kapil Patil, Independent candidates Suresh Upadhye and Chandrakant Kamble.
