Despite housing some of the big corporate names like Reliance and other industrial offices of MIDC commuters have to live a life of hell while crossing to the Rabale railway station due to the lack of a Foot over Bridge. While Navi Mumbai has some of the state of the art railway stations courtesy CIDCO, what it lacks immensely is convenience and security, especially if we talk about railway stations like that of Rabale and Ghansoli. Many industries are situated opposite the Thane Belapur road and job goers, students and elders have no option but to cross over to reach their respective stations. It maybe recalled that a Reliance call centre employee Anandita Goswami was stabbed to death in one of the deserted area of her office raising the issue of security near these railway stations. And not just security but crossing over also becomes difficult for commuters especially those commuting from the Rabale police station. Commuters have demanded that a bridge be made soon. Crossing roads during peak hours has become a dilemma for the commuters and reckless driving, haphazard construction of roads have nothing but added to their woes.
