Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa was been seen supporting the protesters who had been shoved from the Wall Street to Los Angeles for some time as he was even supplying them with ponchos regarding the weather conditions.
But after continuous complaints from the city officials on increase of sanitation problems and damage of property, increase in crimes in the city, which they think has been happening because of the protesters, the Mayor had to issue an eviction order on the eight week old Occupy Los Angeles camp. Soon after the release of the order buses filled with police officers charged at the protesters evicting the camp. Around 200 people have been estimated to be arrested who had opposed the eviction orders. Kiran Kidwai – International Desk, NMTV.
