The Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) combine have not only proved its strength through the huge march held on December 12 in Nagpur, but also indicated future political victorious line against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-Shiv Sena government. Number doesn’t matter, but the self-motivated people who gathered for the morcha from across the state has given alarming indication to the government.
However, appeal of non-cooperation to the government by Sharad Pawar, chief of NCP was surprising to Congress leaders, they have accepted it and confirmed the joint force of both opposition will bring the government in trouble in upcoming days.
“Politically feared with increasing support to Congress and NCP and increasing unrest among people after the failure of loan waiver scheme implantation, the BJP is now playing the game of revenge,” claimed Dhananjay Munde, Leader of Opposition.
“This government does not take morcha and criticism against them lightly. The chief minister is playing politics of vindictive,” he said.
In fact, NCP has very poor existence in Vidarbha region and even though the party dares to hold the march from Yeotmal to Nagpur. Supriya Sule, party’s Member of Parliament and daughter of Sharad Pawar walked through the whole route which might have motivated people and the party cadre.
“Yes, we failed to plan the route and failed to manage the huge gathering of the people who joined us on the first day. It was unexpected to witness see more than 5,000 people would join the march. We could not provide them with sufficient dinner when we took a break on the first day. Our management collapsed on very first day,” Jayant Patil, senior NCP leader explained.
“We noticed the unrest among the people and felt we had to reach to more people who lived in the interior and far off from the highway,” he said.
“We came together for the morcha and there is no need to say more about our alliance. Our alliance will remain intact in future, said Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil, leader of opposition in assembly.
“This is the perfect time to become aggressive against the BJP. This government not only failed, but the people are also fed up with its false assurances. The December 12 morcha have taught us a big lesson of unity and if we remain quite then we are bound to miss the big opportunity, he said.
