The outbreak of novel coronavirus has sparked a global threat that has brought out humanity’s greatest fear leaving the world in a pandemic conundrum.
While the world is embattling to tackle COVID-19, Prime Minister Narendra Modi proposed to invite leaders of the SAARC nations to formulate a jointly planned strategy to overcome the spread of deadly Coronavirus and stand as an example for the world.
PM Modi tweeted that discussion with SAARC nations could be conducted via video conferencing to develop the ways to keep their citizens healthy.
PM Modi’s clarion call came to the SAARC nations at a time when India is battling the disease and so far has reported over 70 cases of coronavirus and one death.
PM Modi on the 13th of March took to Twitter’s social media handle and tweeted, ” I would like to propose that the leadership of SAARC nations chalk out a strong strategy to fight Coronavirus.
We could discuss, via video conferencing, ways to keep our citizens healthy.
Together, we can set an example to the world, and contribute to a healthier planet.”

South Asia, which is home to a significant number of the global population should leave no stone unturned to ensure our people are healthy.” said PM Modi.
