PM Narendra Modi Inspires The Youth At Central Park, New York

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to New York seems to have pulled together the youth from across the city as thousands of youth gathered at Central Park to hear his speech. Narendra Modi was present to deliver a speech for the Golden Citizen Festival where he advised the youth to have a “can do” attitude to bring a change in the world.

Narendra Modi delivered his speech in English but when he addressed the thousands gathered by a ‘Namaste’, it was received with huge applause and cheers.

He was introduced by Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman who introduced Narendra Modi as someone who started as a “tea salesman” to then becoming the Chief Minister of Gujarat and then Prime Minister of India with a huge mandate.

In his speech, Modi said he was delighted to be among the youth in an open park and not inside a closed conference room. “Because you are the future. What you do today, will decide our tomorrow. I feel a current of hope in this park. Among you, I feel confident about the future,” he said. Sana Warsia – NMTV
