With the results of the XII standard out, students are making a beeline for colleges and institutes to get their admission forms and submit them as soon as possible. Principals of colleges have expressed that the number of students have increased over the years and hence admission for all can be a concern for them. The result is out, but it’s not yet time for the students to relax. For, the competition gets even tougher from here as the battle for berth in intermediate courses begins. All colleges in the city have already started distributing admission forms and students are making a rush for it. However, this year, fears of limited seats have gripped the students and parents as colleges are trying to accommodate the vast turn out of students for admissions. Principal of Karmaveer Bhaurau Patil College informed that the number of students seeking admissions this year had gone very high. As of now, the traditional courses like BA, Bcom, and Bsc, the college has sold over 2000 prospectus while the professional courses are ranging near 1020. Another college that is seeing a huge rush of students is MJW’s ICL College. However, getting a berth in these two colleges would be tough as the number of seats are very limited. Infact, ICL College is not open to admission for Bcom this year due to lack of adequate infrastructure. Principal of ICL College, Jayshree Dau informed that their in-house students of Std XII were 440 and the seats available were 360. With cameraperson Vinayak Dalvi, Nagnath Babar for NMTV News.
