PRATHIBA INSTRURIES NOW A HINDERANCE FOR KANHA MEGH UTSAV BHAKTS

bhagwat-dham-3And the problems do not end here. The failure of the contractor to complete the work on time is causing inconvenience to visitors at the city’s most popular cultural fest – the Kanha Megh Utsav. Very rarely does Navi Mumbai witness a cultural fest of the magnitude of Kanha Megh Utsav and when it does, the festival gets spoilers due to authoritative negligence. Kanha Megh Utsav is being held for 36 days in Bhagwat Dham at Parsik Hills. While the biggest cultural festival of Navi Mumbai is witnessing hundreds of devotees making a beeline to Bhagavad Dham, he construction of the reservoir has left the organizers and visitors worried. Pratibha Industries continues to dig soil leaving a mess on the road that makes it slippery and can cause accidents. When we spoke to the Project In Charge of reservoir B Bhandarkar, he failed to give any convincing replies. The problem starts due to the failure of Pratibha Industries to complete the reservoir work by its deadline that was 16 March 2007. With the NMMC Engineering Dept doing little to ensure that the contractor does not get away with his follies, visitors are disappointed that it has not done anything to even keep the area clean of soil for the city’s biggest cultural festival season.
