President Barack Obama describes Orlando mass shooting as “an act of terror”

President Barack Obama on Sunday described the worst mass shooting in US history as “an act of terror” and “an act of hate”, saying the massacre of 50 people at a packed gay nightclub was an attack on all Americans.

Commenting on the massacre, Obama further said that in times of hate and violence we should not give in and instead love one another, “We will not give into fear.”

Obama said, “We stand with the people of Orlando who have endured the terrible attack.”

US President Obama also said that “we should not give into fear” under such trying times.
