Protesters gather outside White House protesting against US air strikes in Iraq and Syria, demanding Obama to return his Nobel Peace Prize, Washington

Since President Barack Obama has approved to carry out air strikes in Syria and Iraq, his image as a ‘Peace President’ has been damaged severely. Obama had earned the Nobel Peace Award by the Norwegian Nobel Committee because he had firmly stood against US led Iraq invasion and maybe that was one of the main reasons for him winning the elections. But since the time Obama had taken over presidency, it is quite obvious that Obama had managed to approve more than 390 drone strikes in five years across Pakistan, Yemen and Somalia which would be eight times more than the entire Bush Presidency.

President Barack Obama had failed drastically to stand firm on the expectations of many who had expected him to be different. However, Obama became the fourth President in a row to approve air strikes in Iraq. On his this approval, many protestors gathered outside White House protesting against US air strikes in Iraq and Syria, further demanding Obama to return his Nobel Peace Award.
