Relations between Egypt and Turkey roughens up as Egypt dismiss Turkey ambassador from Cairo
Last year Turkey had moved forward to improve its ties with Egypt after a long time of disturbed relationship. And for some time the world did witness an increasing smooth relationship between these two countries. Infact Turkey had also started around 20 development projects within Egypt further increasing investment and trade. But ever since Egypt’s former leader Morsi had been over powered by the Egypts military, Turkey had been opposing this decision. And this became the reason for disturbing the growing relationship between the two countries.
‘I will never have respect for those who came to power through coups. There will be no shift in my position towards Egypt’s new rulers’ as stated by Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan while addressing reporters.
However Egypt government blames Turkey for portraying them in a wrong light in front of the world. ‘Turkish leadership has persisted in its unacceptable and unjustified positions by trying to turn the international community against Egyptian interests’ as stated by the ministry.
