Residents of UAE upset with Kareena Kapoor’s upcoming movie ‘Heroine’ where dialogues tarnishes the image of Dubai

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor upcoming movie “Heroine’ which is due to be released by Sept 20 has created a controversy among the residents of UAE. What was the dialogue used by the actress “You people should be writing scripts. If a heroine buys a car, it is given to her by a businessman, if she is going to LA she is getting a plastic surgery done and God forbid if she goes to Dubai, you people make her a rate card” she said it when she is addressing reporters in the movie.

The residents think that the fact that those actresses who are travelling to Dubai have been listed as call girls and rate cards has been highly disgusting and that it has also tarnished the image of Dubai. They were also hurt with the fact that although Dubai stands for progress and development in every field and has earned a highly respectable place in the world map, Bollywood has no right to use the country’s name for a location where prostitution and underworld activities can easily be carried out. In fact words were been lashed out at filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar also, questioning his knowledge of what he knows about the respect and status that is been given to a woman in Dubai, and that before using such improper dialogues he should have done a little research of the country. Well after such an outrage definitely either Madhur or the censor board should take some action to repair the damage that has been done. Kiran Kidwai – International Desk, NMTV
