Retailers seek permission to change the work timings in the mall during Ramadan, mall managements have different view, UAE

Retailers are seeking permission from the mall management to reduce the timings allotted to them during Ramadan. The timings that were been allotted to them went from 10am to 1am and then from 8pm to 2am. And those who do not imply with these timings have to pay fine of Dh5000.

But according to the shop owners in these malls there is hardly any business or sales at such late hours. So they just have to be sitting and looking at each other’s face.

However the mall managements have different view on the whole timing idea. The customers are unable to shop because of their fast during the day. So it is for their comfort that they have kept the timing. From 8pm to 2am is the perfect timing to shop during Ramadan, as the customers praying time will also not get disturbed nor would they have to compromise on any other things.
