In the wake of campaigns against rising intolerance in the country, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday said everyone should accept people of different beliefs and ideologies to achieve the organisation’s motto of serving the nation selflessly to make India a superpower.
“Inclusivity is the core of Hindu culture. We stand for unity in diversity. Our tradition says we need to sustain everything, accept all nature and every other tradition,” he said at the valedictory of the Akhila Bharathiya Shrung Vadya Shibir here on Sunday. India’s diversity is to be celebrated and not to be opposed, he added.
The RSS chief said, “Soon we will be the youngest nation in the world. So we need to develop the youth by teaching them ethics to make India truly great,” he said.
He took the opportunity to praise the Modi government’s Make in India initiative. “I hope it will eventually turn into Made in India,” he said adding that “Only leaders and the government cannot make India powerful, it will need responsible citizens. Mere talking and debating won’t do. We should show it on ground.”
