Saketh Myneni enter quarterfinals in Air Asia Open

Third seed Saketh Myneni saw off a stiff challenge from Dane Propoggia to move to the singles quarterfinals of the Air Asia Open but wild card Sumit Nagal bowed out after a three-set defeat, here on Wednesday.

Myneni, who won the Vietnam Open coming into this event, pipped the Australian 6-4, 7-6 (9) in the second round of the $50,000 ATP Challenger event at the KSLTA Courts.

In another match, fifth seed Yannick Mertens of Belgium staved off the challenge of Junior Wimbledon Doubles Champion, Nagal 6-2, 7-6(4).
