The state has set up a core group of academicians and officials to study the creation of an accreditation and assessment system for schools in the state. The panel has been asked to submit report in 15 days. A government resolution (GR) passed on July 3 has directed the core group to visit Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu to study the assessment system for their schools. The group will also have to study the pattern used by Sarva Shiksha Abhiyaan as well as that used by the National Accreditation Board for Education and Training.
