A seminar was conducted at Sanpada to create awareness about the precautions that senior citizens who live alone should follow. Rapid urbanization has promoted nuclear lifestyles and joint family systems are a thing of the past. This has led to senior citizens living by themselves. And more often than not, these senior citizens become victims of ruthless and brutal robberies. To create awareness about how senior citizens should take precautions to not become victims of criminal activities, Tanvi Social, Cultural, Educational and Medical Organization held a seminar at Sanpada. Senior Police Inspector of Sanpada Police Station Dilip Jagtap carried the proceedings of the seminar. The officer also threw light on security aspects in regards to children and vehicles. Dilip Jagtap voiced disappointment at how easily the masses get instigated by vested interests and indulge in riots and violence. He appealed to youngsters to be a more responsible part of society. The President of Tanvi Social, Cultural, Educational and Medical Organization Jayshree Dandavate said that they aim at bringing the police and residents on a common platform to help improve the security cover in the city.
