SHARAD PAWAR CRITICIZES MAHARASHTRA GOVERNMENT – SAYS STATE SHOULD FIRST SOLVE THE POWER CRISIS AND THEN BRING IN INVESTORS

sharad-p-2Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar has criticized the state government for inviting global industries to Maharashtra without having made provisions for adequate power supply. He also said that in the given circumstances, he is not in favor of the Nano project coming to the state. Criticizing the state’s move of inviting investors to Maharashtra, NCP Supremo Sharad Pawar stated that while he was initially batting for the Nano project to come to the state, he later realized about the power scarcity. On the backdrop of Deshmukh’s recent Europe tour, Sharad Pawar remarked that there is no point in inviting foreign investors when the state cannot provide them the energy required. He further said that consent of 70 per cent landholders should be acquired for any SEZ to come up. Sharad Pawar’s comments are an embarrassment not just for the NCP but also the Congress who own ministers are sitting at the seats of Power Ministry and have failed miserably to solve the power crisis of the state.
