Defying his age, the 79 years old veteran politician in holding back to back rallies in Maharashtra. Desertions of top leaders from his party, turmoil within the Pawar family or even the ED probe has not let Sharad Pawar deviate his focus. And with him on this mission are his top most trusted aides and leaders. One of them being the aggressive orator Jitendra Awhad. While Awhad is seen mostly taking on NCP leaders for leaving Sharad Pawar in NCP’s deepest hour of crisis, he also showers praises on Sharad Pawar wherever he speaks. In one such speech recently, he made Sharad Pawar emotional and it was a rare moment, as one has not seen the Maratha strongman this way. Speaking of the personal challenges that Sharad Pawar faces while campaigning, Jitendra Awhad said that in 44 degrees, Pawar’s continues to face the health effects he faces due to the oral cancer he suffered from and had to undergo complete removal of teeth for the same.

NCP President Sharad Pawar had recently opened up that one of his biggest regrets in life was being prone to the use of tobacco. The former Maharashtra Chief Minister said that he wished someone had warned him against using tobacco use 40 years ago. Sharad Pawar, a cancer survivor, had to undergo a surgery, a complete removal of teeth. He couldn’t open his mouth and faced difficulty in swallowing and speaking. The after effects of the same is that even today, speaking in public poses limitations for him. As Awhad continued how Sharad Pawar was fighting health, not for Supriya Sule, Ajit Pawar or Pawar family all of whom are settled in politics, but was doing it all for the love he has for Maharashtra.
