Shiv Sena Corporator MK Madhvi gives Ganesh Naik the credit for 2.5 FSI

With elections round the corner, redevelopment has again become the center of every party’s attention. It is being seen as one of the deciding factors for the outcome of the elections. Perhaps that is why it’s a major factor when it comes to war for credit between BJP-Shiv Sena and NCP in Navi Mumbai. The former stakes credit for 2.5 FSI stating that NCP failed to get it when it was in power. However, not all from the opposition believe that NCP failed to get 2.5 FSI. In the recent General Body meeting, when senior NCP corporators were creating hurdles for redevelopment of dilapidated CIDCO homes under 2.5 FSI, dabangg Shiv Sena corporator M K Madhvi, who rebelled from NCP, reminded the house that it was former Minister Ganesh Naik who laid all the groundwork, fought and got for 2.5 FSI.

It may be recalled that Ganesh Naik had gone on record to say that they got former Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan’s approval for 2.5 FSI.

While the war for credit goes on, in a recent event, Ganesh Naik advised party corporators and party workers not to fight with anyone for any credit. He advised them to silently work in the interest of people, so that their work speaks for them.

While it will be difficult for both Shiv Sena and BJP leaders in Navi Mumbai to accept, M K Madhvi has endorsed that Ganesh Naik ensured Navi Mumbai got 2.5 FSI. Bureau report – NMTV News.
