Frames Film Festival is an initiative of the BMM Department of SIES (Nerul) College of Arts, Science and Commerce. One of the largest undergraduate Film Festivals in India, Frames receives entries not only from reputed colleges and film institutions across India and abroad, but also from different countries like U.S.A, Great Britain, Italy, Australia, Spain, Netherlands, Brazil, Argentina, Iran and Sri Lanka.

Founded in the year 2003 by a handful of media students, over the years the festival has been discerned under the wings of celebrities like Madhur Bhandarkar, Anurag Kashyap, Mahesh Bhatt, Ram Gopal Verma, Dibakar Banarjee, Vasant Bala, Prachi Desai and this year by Poonam Dhillon. Frames, provides a platform to talented film makers across nations to show their skills in different genres such as short films, animation films, music videos, commercial and public service advertisement films.

On the second day of the fest this year, documentaries, contingent films and ad films were screened. The judging panel comprised choreographer Anand Chandel and film maker Brahmanand Singh and film director Krishnakant Pandya. Speaking to NMTV, Abhilash Mudadi, Chairperson, Frames Film Festival 2020 said that their focus has been content. He also elaborated on the theme “nakab.” Sneha Kute, Media PR of the fest said that the festival has taken 3 months of hard work and efforts. She said that it gives a platform to those who cannot become film makers just yet. Bureau report – NMTV News.
