SPECIAL STUDENTS SHOWCASE SPECIAL SKILLS AT ANNUAL EXHIBITION OF HELLEN KELLER INSTITUTE, MAHAPE

Impossible is nothing, if you think you can, you can. The physically challenged children in Navi Mumbai seemed to be proving these lines. The Hellen Keller Institute for the deaf and blind’s vocational training unit’s sixth annual exhibition culminated at Mahape. The display of arty facts and other items made by these special students was indeed a spirit-lifting and inspirational experience for all the visitors. The exhibition consisted of items made by the students of the vocational training unit of the institute under the guidance of the trainees. The items were inclusive of candles, painted items, pot-pouri, hand made necklaces and bracelets. The items personified the potential, skills and abilities that these special students are capable of with the right kind of training and guidance. For those behind Hellen Keller institute doing this marvellous job, this indeed was a winning moment for them. Navi Mumbai News spoke to N M Nayak – the Dy.
