State directs Co-op to provide adde 5% margin to sugar factories


Maharashtra State Cooperative Bank have been directed by the Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis to provide an additional 5 per cent margin money to sugar factories. This has been done so that an additional Rs600 crore would be available for paying towards fair and remunerative price (FRP) to cane-growing farmers for the 2015-16 season.

The decision was taken during a review meeting where the payment of FRP to cane growers in the 2015-16 season was discussed.
