On the preparations for the state assembly polls, the draft electoral register for 30 districts was published on July 7; for the remaining five districts-Mumbai, suburban Mumbai, Thane, Pune and Nagpur-it will be made public on July 14. For Thane district on target of securing photographs, the Collector A A Jarhad said that they were working on getting photographs of as many officials as possible on the electoral roll. The Collector also informed that between July 14th to July 29th, voters can update their photographs or make changes in their names and addresses. A intensified special drive specifically for this will be held on July 25th and July 26th.
