State holds good chance in Salman hit-and-run case: Abha Singh

m

Women’s rights activist and lawyer Abha Singh on Friday said the Maharashtra Government holds a good chance in the 2002 hit-and-run case involving Bollywood actor Salman Khan as the Bombay High Court has erred by citing loopholes and not going into the legal merits of this matter.

Singh said the hearing in this case where the Maharashtra Government has gone against the order of the Bombay High Court has been postponed to February 12.

“The Maharashtra Government has called the Bombay High Court order perverse, not good in law citing the various loopholes because the Bombay High Court did not go into the legal merits of the case, it just cited the loopholes, it used the basis of procedure to dismiss the case to let Salman Khan go scot-free,” she told ANI here.
