State level Bhajan competition for Navi Mumbai district to be held at Pen on October 8th and 9th

The State Level Bhajan competition for Navi Mumbai District will be held in Pen on October 8th and 9th. MP Dr. Sanjeev Naik gave an insight to the media about the event.

With the aim to promote classical bhajan sangeet, the Sharad Krida and Sanskrutik Prathithan, Pune will be organizing its fourth state level Abhang and Bhajan competition 2011. The competition, which is divided into two categories – children and open category will be held across the state. The competition that would be held in Raigad district, Navi Mumbai and Alibaug would come under Navi Mumbai’s famous classical singer Mahadevbua Shahbaazkar. The same was announced during a press conference which was headed by Thane MP Dr. Sanjeev Naik. Present along with him was Mayor Sagar Naik and bhajan singer Mahadevbua Shahbaazkar. Thane MP Dr. Sanjeev Naik informed that for the Alibaug division the competition would be held on 8th and 9th October and the finale would be held in Pune. Every year the competition is held with a theme and this year the theme is Control Female Infanticide. While the entry fee for the competition if Rs 351, there is free entry for Bhajan mandals.
