STUDENTS STUDYING IN NMMC SCHOOLS HAVE TO LEAVE SCHOOL AS THERE ARE NO HIGHER CLASSES

nmmc1With the performance record of students studying in NMMC schools getting better and better, NMMC has decided to increase its standards and start junior colleges in the city. As there are no junior colleges in NMMC, many municipal students of the school are forced to leave school and seek admission in other colleges. If NMMC comes up with junior colleges within the schools itself, students studying in these schools will be benefited. At present NMMC is running 49 schools in which 26000 students are studying. But it runs NMMC junior colleges only in Nerul, Airoli and Katkaripada. Therefore, many students studying in other schools either stop studying further after 7th or 10th class or seek admissions in other schools. If NMMC starts classes for higher education within these schools, students need not stop studying or move to other institutions. We spoke to Chairman of Education committee NMMC Ravi Iyer regarding this issue. He further informed us about NMMC starting new junior colleges within Navi Mumbai city. NMMC is also planning to make its classrooms equipped with audio visual rooms within NMMC schools and expressed his satisfaction over result of NMMC school students in SSC examinations.
