The CIDCO Navi Mumbai festival for the first time presented Sufi Music in Navi Mumbai. Kavita Seth the famous Sufi-Ghazal singer entertained the audience with her soulful music and won the hearts of the audience with her voice. When you write its poetry, when you sing it’s gazal, when you hear its passion and when you immerse yourself into it – its’ Sufism. It’s about being one with the world and the almighty at large. With her mellifluous voice, Kavita Seth casted a niche for herself in the Sufi genre and is all set to take Sufism to newer heights. This renowned Sufi-Ghazal Singer was in the city to woo the audience with her captivating and soul searching voice. Known for her unique voice and sensational sufism, Kavita is a fresh voice of India. Performing under the banner of CIDCO Navi Mumba Festival, the performance was held at Urban Haat in Belapur. The amphitheatre was jam packed with expected and enthusiastic crowd who swayed to the ghazals and songs played by her. Kavita Seth has to her credit the famous song from the movie gangster “Mujhe Mat Roko”. Surpassing all expectations, Kavita Seth sung Maula from the movie Anwar, Mera piya ghar Aaaya, khawaji from Jodha Akhbar winning the hearts of the audience.
