An educational project exhibition named Sadhna was organized by DAV Public school, New Panvel. In this exhibition, students had prepared projects based on various topics. The project exhibition was held under the directives of CBSE to develop the scholastic and co-scholastic areas of the students. Sadhna means doing continuous, complete and constructive work. Under this theme, DAV Public School New Panvel organized a project exhibition for students of 9th and 10 standard. The project was held as per the directives of CBSE of achieving the objective of learning through continuous comprehensive learning. It is a new educational pattern introduced by CBSE and compulsory for all students of the board. Today, there is a requirement of holistic assessment of a learner, which also includes co-scholastic area of life skills, attitude and values, sports and games as well as co-curricular activities. Therefore, the students had prepared various projects at Sadhna on various subjects like disaster management, social science, Maths, library, art and computer science. Projects were also displayed for English language. The event was held under the guidance of DIEMR Director Dr K B Kushal who is a pioneer in initiating the most innovative and creative methods in the erstwhile stagnant education system of the country. Speaking to NMTV News, Dr. K B Kushal spoke on the importance of the exhibition. We also spoke to the principal of the school, Alka Lokre who said that the motto behind conducting such programmes is to reduce the exam stress of the students and they can gain maximum practical experience. We also spoke to the students who explained their projects and said that the event helped them to enhance their knowledge, skill, confidence, and resourcefulness and helped them to develop the quality of teamwork. The students will be given grades according to their work and presentation. These exhibitions such as the one held by DAV Public School, New Panvel not just leads to a better subject understanding but also makes studies fun as well as interesting for the students.
