Thane soon to become the first Indian city to start bicycle services

Good news for Thanekars, as the Thane Municipal Corporation will soon be starting a bicycle service in Thane. Individuals who have to wait for a long time for a Bus or auto service, will now have an alternate method of travelling.

The passenger who are getting delayed can hire bicycle from their near bus stop at a cheaper rate and can go easily cover shorter distances. After which they can return bicycle from where it had been originally taken. This facility will helps to reduced the pollution in the city.

The Bicycle has GPS system from which it can be located. This system can also reduce theft of bicycle. There will be 50 stops from where one can get this services.

Internationally, cycle service are utilised in huge capacities in cities like Amsterdam, Paris, Barcelona, London and Europe country. In India, Thane will be touted as the first city in Mumbai to provide such a facility.

New Age Media Partner Pvt Ltd institution has given this proposal to Municipal Corporation regarding. A 20 feet long and 6 feet wide area will be provided to park the bicycle. The bicycle and advertisements for the same will be provide by organisation itself.
