TMC to undertake development projects at cost of Rs 5,550 crore


The Thane municipal corporation would be soon undertaking the development and revamping of various projects at a cost of Rs5,550 crore. The funds would be utilised in phases which was announced by the Thane Municipal Corporation under smart city mission.

TMC chief Sanjeev Jaiswal informed that the focus includes development of new railway stations, developing waterfront projects, traffic management at Teen Hath Naka and improving Thane station.

“We have devised measures under different heads to develop smart Thane, which has a pan-Thane approach. We have taken into consideration all the aspects under smart city and will develop them accordingly. The suggestions shared by Thanekars during the discussion forum have also been taken into account; the team is working on it,” Jaiswal said.
